UOne of the most famous horror films in the history of cinema ‘Suspiria’. The film was so successful in its day that a remake was released in 2018. However, what few people know is that filming was a rather difficult process for the protagonist, Dakota Johnson. Although other colleagues like Tilda Swinton or Mia Goth did not have any problems, the actress lived through an ordeal.
It was Dakota herself who realized that recording day after day caused serious mental health problems. It was in this situation that I was forced to go to a specialist: “So much so that I had to go to therapy”, Confirm. There was a lot of hype around his words, so I decided to clarify his statements during the promotion of the film at the Venice Film Festival.
“I screwed up a lot and had to go to therapy”
“Sometimes, when I’m working on a project (…) I absorb a lot of people’s emotions. When working with a dark theme, it stays with you; talking to a nice person is a good way to abstract from the project. My therapist is a really nice woman,” the”Fifty Shades Of Grey” star explained.
Despite this, the translator noted that it’s not that the production was terrifying, but her problems are due to the fact that she is a girl with many feelings. “It wasn’t the film that made me be under (psychological) guardianship. I just feel a lot of emotions.”Johnson says.
The actress did not live a painful experience, but its severity made her go through a very serious stage regarding her health. However, all this is overcome and Dakota continues her brilliant career in the film industry.
