Carlos Alcaraz It sounds like a dream after a long night in which he celebrated the Wimbledon title for the second year in a row. He was with his family and team at the dinner of champions and even dared to take Barbora kryzhesikova, the champion in femenas, to the dance. Hours after the corona recurrence, Alcaraz sits down with Marka to talk about his tremendous success with only 21 years and what’s to come.

Ask your question. What was going on in his head after the last point of the final against Novak Djokovic?

The answer. A special relief for the last moment of the match, after winning it and returning it. In the end winning it in a ‘tie-breaker’ satisfied me. In the same way, I felt good about everything I spent taking care of my body, with all the little things I was pulling and on all the work we put in these four weeks here.

Djokovic said to me on the net: ‘Titan, you deserve it.’

Q: it is not usual for the two finalists to have such a long conversation on the network. What did Djokovic say to him?

R. When I saw him this year at Wimbledon for the first time, and he was on the subject of the knee, we joked and told him that he was a human spear, a titan. Since then, every time we see each other here Titan tells me and on the network he told me: ‘Titan, congratulations, you deserve it’. I don’t remember much from the lady.

S. Are two Olympic golds in singles and doubles a realistic goal?

R. I think that will. Both in singles and doubles I see it as possible. We all know that Rafa (Nadal) is able to win both in singles and doubles. You know what that is so you can guide me on the right path in doubles. My confidence in the individual is now very high. I have hopes of winning gold in both fields.

If I win the gold medal at the Pars games, I will get my hoops tattooed with the date

Q: you have tattooed the history of the first Grand Slam title at the US Open, strawberries at Wimbledon, and you will immortalize the Eiffel Tower for success at Roland Garros. If you climbed to the top of the podium in Paris, would you touch the Olympic rings?

R. Without a doubt, the episodes are with a pars date of 24, one hundred percent.

S. Do you already know whether to play on the side of the ‘demon’ or feature as a pair of Nadal?

R. I’m not, but I’ll do what Rafa tells me.

P. Last year he noticed that even the American actor Will Smith congratulated him via social networks. Have there been any messages that caught your attention because of your second nickname?

R. The congratulations that came to me are very similar and special. From well-known athletes and personalities. Will Smith has congratulated me again, Neymar, who always follows me and I thank him very much. Rafa, Pau Gasol, Ilya Topuria, Fernando Alonso… I was surprised by Lewis Hamilton’s congratulations because he had never written to me before or had any interaction. Surely there are some MS that escapes me, but I collect them all with great enthusiasm.

I am sure that after this defeat Djokovic will train harder and be better

Q: when I won my first Wimbledon, I commented that there can be no change in the era of tennis while I was a member of the ‘Big Three’ playing, as is the case with Djokovic and Nadal. Now what can we say that the era of Alcaraz has begun?

R. I do not consider that there is a change of era, a change of guard. We all know how good a player is and how ambitious Djokovic is. I am sure that after this defeat he will train harder and will be a better player. We have already seen last year that after losing here, they won Cincinnati and the US Open. We all know what Novak is capable of and now the Olympics are coming and we’ll see. What we can say is that we will train hard so that these types of situations happen again and Djokovic does not beat us again. Honestly, I don’t see the changing of the guard.

Q: you commented on Sunday that you don’t see yourself as a camper. What should happen to you to consider yourself a camper?

R. I have had many successes, four majors, many victories, but in the end I take it as the hero of legends who have many titles and many grand slams, be it 14, 15, 9 or 10. Until I approach them, I will not consider myself a camper. I don’t consider myself a camper until I have the double digits in the ‘Grand Slam’. From the age of 10, I began to think that I was getting closer to sitting at the same table as them.

I’m gonna fight for a much bigger win, S we’re on the right track

Q: you have won more majors than Federer, Nadal and Djokovic at your age. Do you see yourself winning the big 24?

R. I don’t know what the future will hold for me. In the end, the future is uncertain and everything can happen from now and even a few years, many turns can be taken, one way or another. We can’t take anything for granted. All I can say is that we will fight. We know that we are on the right track, doing the right things. If we continue with this ambition, this desire to train and fight every day, I think I can do great things so that we walk this path and see what the future holds.

S. Do you know when he trains again?

R. Training this Wednesday or Thursday because the games are coming.
